In 2010 the Steve Biko Foundation will launch Frank Talk, an innovative dialogue series for young professionals.  Titled after the pseudonym under which Steve Biko wrote, this forum is designed to bring together young people from various sectors for discussion around salient issues impacting South Africa’s political, economic and social development.

Established in 1998, the Steve Biko Foundation is a registered non-profit public benefit trust.  A core element of the Foundation’s mission is to create space for critical analysis and engagement with vital socio-economic and political issues in order to strengthen democracy. Within this broad framework, the Foundation pursues its mission through a dual strategy focusing on both national and community development programs. As envisioned, Frank Talk will contribute substantively to the mission of SBF by creating an avenue for the Foundation to engage a new and growing constituency while promoting national dialogue.
